Butterflies 'n Flowers |

This morning, my adventure is to collect flower seeds for the spring planting in '07... but you know how four year olds are... push-overs for distraction. On my way to the "ROCK MAP" flower gardens... I see millions... well at least twenty... of the most beautiful butterflies dancing along the flowers with careless abandon. DISTRACTION ALARM... goes off on my way to the barn to grab my camera... seed pickin' temporarily forgotten... new quest underway. |
| Oh... by the way, bet you didn't know about the word derivation of "butterfly". Back in colonial days, the locals called the beautiful winged creatures "flutter-by's", for obvious reasons. I guess it was easier to say our modern version and we now call it a BUTTERFLY. |  |
