"THE ANNIVERSARY WALTZ"- ON ALL HALLOWS EVE

October 31st, 2006- All Hallows Eve or what others may refer to as Halloween.... is also, mine and Paul's Anniversary. This year it turned out to be a lovely Fall day so, my Knight and I decided we would take an "Anniversary Waltz" through The Farm. We began our walk around the Barnhouse, where better to start? After walking down the ramp, Paul and I noticed the beautiful mums, that were in full bloom, might I add. There were so many splendid colors, OH! and what a cute cat... That is K.C (Kitty Cat) he is my biggest fan.
Next we headed down by the Rose Garden, Gazebo, Weeping Willow, and Pond. Looking from the Gazebo out to the pond, is breath-taking with the Weeping Willow blowing in the wind. It is hard to believe that it is already Fall, my how time flies when you are having so much fun. There are so many places we can go on The Farm, where shall we go next?
I really wanted to take a walk through the Orchard, to see how the leaves were changing. There was an array of different colors, from red to yellow, even a little green left, and some trees had lost their leaves entirely. Fall is one of my favorite seasons, it is so beautiful in the foot hills of Tennessee. There are so many different kinds of trees here, so of course, each one has different colors. I love it!!
Paul and I just happened to run into Troy and Trisha the Tree Trolls, and believe it or not they were celebrating their 254th Wedding Anniversary, and they are still in love, she said she has to straighten him out every now and then, but he can never go too far. As you can see in the 2nd picture Troy is thinking of keeping a little of his green hair for the winter, Trisha says Old Man Winter will not allow it.
The last stop was the Village... We went to the back deck that over looks Carr Creek, we had to be especially careful on Halloween, because the Carr's Creek Critter would probably be out and about celebrating his day!! Thank Goodness there was no sign of him. We looked over at the store to make sure the Critter hadn't gotten the workers in the office. They were safe and sound... OH look at those beautiful trees in the background. Fall certainly is splendid.
Our waltz is over, and we are heading back to the Barnhouse, to enjoy each other's company, and celebrate the many memories we made together this year as husband and wife. Marriage is a continuous waltz, and we hope to have many more dances.

P.S.- I have enclosed the history of Halloween, this is my absolute favorite holiday..... so enjoy.   HALLOWEEN HISTORY

Love Always,

Cheri
