Hello! My name is Tasha Sullivan.  My family has run the Pepsi and Mountain Dew bottling company for almost 

80 years in Eastern North Carolina.  I saw your Mountain Dew Mystery post and thought you would find the following 

article interesting.  My family bottled mountain dew in the 60's, and as the article explains, they would often put phrases 

about family members or pets on the bottles.  I noticed your "one that's able, Mable" phrase.  Mable Minges was my great-aunt.  

She was the Kinston bottler's Hoyt Minges sister in law I believe.  Hope this helps! If you have others from NC, maybe I can
