| As you will soon learn, there are many destinations we can reach from Nostalgiaville. I'm familiar with these locations... been to them all, created thousands of images, documented untold numbers of historical tidbits, searched for the unusual, paused to look at "little things"... all the stuff that memories are made from. |
| Well... let's get started. We'll be traveling in a trusty RV. | When we reach our destination, we may pile in to the little black GEO Tracker for a closer look. |
| We may even hop on our bicycle to really get up-close-and-personal. |

Above is a list of our destinations. An interesting new feature in Images is the "Historical Pictures" section. These are pictures we have run across through the Ad Art Gallery... some dating back into the 1800's. |

| We are surrounded, engulfed, and yes... even overwhelmed by signs. They stare at us from our televisions in the form of advertisements, follow us as we walk through our cities, and even chase us in our cars as we drive along the roadways. They tell us what to buy, where to shop, how to live longer, the secret of eating better, the sexiest cars to buy, propose exotic travel destinations, and even entice us to change life-long habits. |

There are so many signs that vie for our attention that our minds can't focus on and absorb all the messages that are bombarding us continuously. The creative ones among the throngs of "sign-makers" figured out the attention problem long ago, and have crafted signs that are "attention-getters" . They found that by using catchy phrases or word combinations in naming their businesses or products, that they were more likely to get our attention for that important second to ensnare us and entice us to visit and spend some money. |
| Our travels around the country have provided us with many opportunities to observe first hand this sign-maker creativity, and we have decided to devote a section of Images to chronicle an oft overlooked and under known fascination of our lives. |
